Idea

An application for learning English using context. Designed for people who already know the language well, but wishing to bring their knowledge to perfection. The task was to create a corporate identity and distribute it to a mobile application and landing page.

UX Research

In order to provide empathy to users and realize what problems they face with, what motivates them in order to use language service. We interviewed 100 users. We also have gathered some existing users feedbacks from the app store and play store for understanding users needs. We have to bear in mind what is important to the user at every moment of using this service, which is secondary. How the system can help eventually.

Jane is from Beijing. She is the last year of graduate studies and lives in her residence at the university. Jane knows English well in order to study at an American university, but some nuances and turns of speech are still inaccessible to her. She would like to bring her knowledge to perfection.

Zoltan Stefanovicz
Age: 34 years old
Occupation: IT Freelancer
Location: Belgrade, Serbia
Zoltan is a freelancer. He is engaged in the development of information security systems. Most of his clients are residents of English- speaking countries. Zoltan knows English very well for programming, but some shades of spoken language are not very clear for him.
Needs
Zoltan wants to improve his language level to be able to talk not only on professional topics but also understanding the subtle points of humor and slang.
Bhavin Pran
Age: 48 years old
Occupation: Cardiac surgeon
Location: Mumbai, India
Bhavin is an experienced doctor who loves his profession. He studied English at school and is fluent in it, like most of his compatriots. But medicine is changing rapidly, and new terms appear in it.
Needs
Bhavin reads professional medical literature, which contains many specific terms and their meanings. He needs to better understand the intricacies of the medical language.

Given the diversity of users, professions, countries and continents that “spin” in the language learning process, a mill would be a suitable concept. And to make it relevant to linguistics, it's four wings are replaced with quotes.
